The MG Midget is a small two-seater sports car produced by MG from 1961 to 1979. The engine grew from a 948 cc to 1275 cc using the development seen on the Mini-Cooper ‘S’. The detuned engine was used for reasons of model range placement – with the Cooper ‘S’ spec engine, the Midget could have been faster than the more expensive MGB. The hydraulic system gained a separate master cylinder for the clutch. The hood was now permanently attached to the car, with an improved mechanism making it much easier to use.
This particular MG has the following:
On a technical point, the MG’s cold start is perfect and the choke works 100%.
The tyres have roughly 90% tread all round.
Brakes were tested and passed first time, including the handbrake.
The MG will be sold with a roadworthy and registered in new owners name without any additional cost.
All paperwork is in order confirming 1965 MG, engine number and vin number.
